Julian’s birth name is John Charles Julian Lennon. He was born in Liverpool, England, on April 8, 1963. His parents are John Lennon and Cynthia Powell. His mother was the first wife to his father.
Growing up, Julian Lennon attended North Wales boarding school. It was during this period that he created a watercolor painting and through it, the painting inspired the song “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.”
Unfortunately for Julian, his parents divorced when he was only five years old. The divorce resulted from his father’s adulterous lifestyle to the extreme that Julian’s mother returned home one day and found a woman, Yoko Ono, in her house. She had won her night dress and was in company of Julian’s father.

Through the teachings that he got from his father, Julian managed to start his music career from the age of 11 years. He started with performing on his father’s album Walls and Bridges. He then worked on his debut solo album and released it in 1984.
From his album, some tracks such as “Too Late for Goodbyes” helped with earning him a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Julian then worked on and released his second album but it wasn’t a success like the first one.
He even collaborated on other projects with George Harrison, a former Beatles member.
